La Verne, CA – On July 1, 2023, La Verne Police Officers responded to Rodeo Jewelers, located at 1560 Foothill Boulevard regarding a robbery that had taken place at approximately 12:16 PM, when a white four door sedan was driven through the glass storefront of the jewelry store.
Four male suspects entered the store, shattered display cases, and loaded trashcans with jewelry. During the robbery, one employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries from an assault. The suspects fled the scene with the stolen jewelry utilizing a secondary getaway vehicle described as a black sedan.
In response, the La Verne City Council has authorized a $10,000 reward, with an additional $10,000 reward introduced through a motion by Supervisor Barger and authorized by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors today. “La Verne is a safe and family focused community that supports our businesses,” stated Mayor Tim Hepburn. “I look forward to more tips generated by this reward to help our detectives crack this case and bring these criminals to justice.” A total of $20,000 is now being offered for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the suspects involved in the robbery. “This family-owned business was hit hard and deserves our support,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger. “I am hopeful this reward will encourage anyone with information to reach out so we can put a stop to individuals engaging in criminal behavior and hold them accountable.”
