Fall_guide

Carve out some fun in La Verne this fall by checking out the new Fall Recreation Guide! This edition offers the latest information on the City’s recreation classes, programs, events and more.

“La Verne’s variety of program and event offerings is a true reflection of our small-town traditions and values,” said Mayor Tim Hepburn. “Our Community Services Department provides diverse class selections for all ages and plans numerous events which many residents and visitors look forward to every year.”

Each season, the City of La Verne’s Community Services Department releases a recreation guide highlighting upcoming activities for La Verne residents. The Fall Recreation Guide provides the latest information on upcoming excursions and popular holiday events, including the Halloween Trick or Treat in Old Town La Verne, City Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Rose Parade Float Tour.

Community members can also learn about various volunteer opportunities for department programs such as the Ride and Go Volunteer Driver Program, La Verne Police Department Explorer Program and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

“The Fall Recreation Guide is particularly exciting since it also covers highly anticipated holiday events and activities for the whole family to enjoy,” said Community Services Manager Yvonne Duran. “If you’re planning on enrolling in a class or activity, be sure to reserve your spot in advance through our online portal.”

Printed versions of the Fall Recreation Guide were mailed to all La Verne residents and can be viewed digitally on the City’s website. Pre-registration is required for all activities and spots are given on a first come, first served basis.
