Pacific Marine Mammal Center & Laguna Beach

Join us for a trip to Laguna Beach! You’ll start your day with a tour of Pacific Marine Mammal Center where you will learn how marine mammals are rescued and nursed back to health, giving them a second chance at life. The tour will take you through the visitor yard where you will have the opportunity to see current rescued and recovering patients. Next, it’s off to the downtown village of Laguna Beach. Spend the afternoon shopping, dining, and exploring in Southern California's premier coastal destination! Lunch is on your own.

Colorful Songs of Broadway Rogers & Hammerstein Show

Join us for a Rodgers & Hammerstein Musical and Luncheon with the famous Colorful Songs of Broadway at Almansor Court in Alhambra! Journey through Rodgers and Hammerstein’s six most popular musicals while listening to your favorites like “Do Re Mi”, “Hello Young Lovers”, “Honey Bun”, and many more! The show will feature hits from Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, Flower Drum Song, The King & I, and The Sound of Music. Luncheon includes your choice of roast chicken with rice pilaf and vegetables, veggie pasta, or vegan tartare. All meals include garden salad, dinner rolls, ice cream sundae, coffee, tea, and wine. There is also shopping and a raffle available at the show!

Living Desert Zoo & Gardens Safari Tour

Visit The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in a special way with a private Safar Tour! This two-hour guided riding tour will take you throughout the entire park with a tour guide on a motorized cart. You will even have the chance to experience two new habitats - Australian Adventures where you can walkabout with the wallabies and meet many new friends from down under, and the newest addition - Rhino Savanna! A multi-species habitat featuring rhinos and many other species. Enjoy lunch on your own, on-site. Apple Season in Oak Glen with Tavern Lunch and Apple Cider Donuts

You know it's autumn in Oak Glen when the aroma of homemade apple pie, fresh pressed cider and just-picked apples fills the brisk mountain air! We'll spend the day at Riley's Farm, nestled in the apple growing foothills. Riley's Farm is a working apple orchard and living history farm where you'll be taken on a wagon ride, dip your own candle to take home, and enjoy a family style lunch in the Tavern. The menu includes homemade chicken pot pie, seasoned green beans, green salad, Riley's famous Sally Lunn bread and butter, and sweet apple crisp for dessert. Lemonade and iced tea are also included to wash it all down. Before heading home, we'll stop at Snow-Line Orchard for shopping. The farm store offers dozens of varieties of just picked-apples, jams and jellies and gifts galore. You can also taste their wines or hard cider and you'll be treated to some of their famous warm cider donuts!

Christmas Time at Roger's Gardens and Fashion Island

Roger’s Gardens is always a crowd pleaser, but at Christmas time it’s extra special! The afternoon begins at the beautiful Fashion Island in Newport Beach where you’ll be on your own for shopping, dining and taking in all of the festive holiday decor. The Mall has many restaurant chains, fine dining options and a food court. Next, it’s off to “America’s Most Beautiful Home and Garden Center" – Roger’s Gardens! Experience the magic of Christmas as the Center is transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a holiday boutique. The time is yours to browse and shop at your leisure.

Excursion Information
Trips are rain or shine. No refunds after registration closes.
If a minimum number of 25 participants are not reached the trip will be cancelled.
- It is recommended that individual checks be sent for each activity. If confirmation is desired, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
- Proof of age may be required. Participants 17 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.
- All trips leave from and return to the Community Center, 3680 “D” Street, and will go rain or shine. Participants must park on Durward Way.
- Special services (i.e. wheelchairs) MUST be requested by ADA deadline 30-days before any trip.
- Buses have lower compartments for wheelchairs/scooters, but participants must be able to get from the sidewalk into the bus up 2 stairs.
- Please note the level of trips:
EASY: Little walking.
MODERATE: Some walking necessary. Participants should be in good health.
ACTIVE: Good physical condition is necessary-lots of walking. - There is a $10 cancellation fee for each trip and there are no refunds after the listed reservation/cancellation date.
- Participants must be able to travel independently at all times.
- Trip details subject to change.
- Those registered for trips must adhere to new "Excursion Etiquette" code of conduct.
