2022 General Municipal Elections
The City of La Verne's General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. The election will be consolidated with the County of Los Angeles who will be conducting the Statewide Primary Election.
On December 20, 2021, the City Council adopted Ordinance Number 1108, changing the date of the City's General Municipal Election to the date of the statewide primary election of each even-numbered year, although this will result in a different election date depending on the year commencing with the June 7, 2022 election. Pursuant to the Council action of approval of Ordinance Number 1106 and 1107, the City moved to a by-district election system. As such, Council Members will be elected by the voters in the district in which they live every four years. For the June 7, 2022 election, voters in Districts 1, 3, and 4 will vote for one Council Member in their respective district.
Residents can go to the City's website to view the district map and locate which district they are in. Find districting FAQs here.
