Those interested in serving on the City of La Verne's boards, commissions, and committees must submit a formal application. This can be done in a few different ways.
1. Submit the application form in-person to the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, located at 3660 D Street.
2. Email the application form to the City Clerk's Office via email at cityclerk@cityoflaverne.org.
3. Submit the application through our convenient online form.

Active Transportation Committee
The mission of the Active Transportation Committee is to increase safe, attractive, comfortable, and independent access and travel for the La Verne community, utilizing best management principles and practices associated with mobility, Complete Streets policies, and applicable state and federal traffic safety guidelines.

Development Review Committee
The Development Review Committee is established to perform design reviews and provide technical assistance to the City Council, Commissions and the public (LVMC 18.16.020). The meetings are open to the public.

Planning Commission
The purpose of the Planning Commission is to oversee and insure high quality development within the community; to carry out goals, policies and objectives as set forth by the City Council; and to insure compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and General Plan.

Senior Citizen Advisory Committee
The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee has been responsible for all senior programs and activities at the Community Center.

Youth & Family Action Committee
The purpose of the Youth and Family Action Committee Executive Board is to encourage, coordinate and facilitate the involvement of citizens and community organizations in combating the problems of substance abuse, gang activity, and community violence.

Measure LV Oversight Committee
The Committee is responsible for reviewing and maintaining adequate fund balances from Measure LV sales tax revenues for future projected needs in the City.

Youth Sports Committee
The purpose of the Sports Committee is to advise the City Council and the Community Services Department on the scheduling, maintenance, and use of athletic facilities by youth sports organizations and school teams.
